Allowing – Yoga Workshop Braidwood

$50.00

What if we didn’t have to fix, change, understand or get rid of everything we feel?
So often, when something uncomfortable arises – sadness, fear, anger, uncertainty, restlessness, disappointment – the mind quickly reaches for its familiar strategies. We tense against it. Distract ourselves. Reassure ourselves. Overthink. Suppress. Push through. Try to make it different.
The practice of Allowing invites us into another possibility: rather than fighting what is here, we allow it to be here. Pema Chödrön speaks beautifully of welcoming the unwelcome – learning to stay present with the parts of life we would rather push away, and discovering that we can make room for our experience without being consumed by it.
This retreat is an invitation into that practice.
Not forcing. Not fixing. Not pretending everything is okay. Not becoming passive or giving up. Simply learning to be a little more at ease with whatever is arising. To let ourselves feel. To let ourselves be. To discover that we don’t have to be at war with our own experience.
This is the practice of allowing: making space for life exactly as it is, and learning that we can meet whatever arises with presence, compassion and a little more ease.
Includes movement, breathing practices, meditation, relaxation a scrumptious dinner. 2.5 hours $50
