A Journey Back To Yourself

This Spring Equinox, step away from the noise and into one of the most ancient and extraordinary landscapes on Earth. A time of renewal, balance and new beginnings, the Equinox invites us to shed what no longer serves us and gently peel back the layers accumulated through the busyness of life.

In a world that is always on, we offer the rare luxury of being off. With no Wi-Fi or mobile reception, the constant demands of modern life fade away, replaced by the rustle of palm fronds, the sounds of the rainforest and the call of the kingfisher. As the distractions fall away, something begins to shift. Your attention returns, your senses awaken and you begin to reconnect with the world around you, and the world within.

At the heart of the retreat, we will spend two days in supported silence. Free from the need to make conversation, respond to others or be anything for anyone, you will be gently held and nurtured through yoga, meditation, nourishing meals, nature and deep rest.

When we stop filling every space with noise and distraction, we create the opportunity to truly hear ourselves again. In the spaciousness of silence, we can begin to peel back the layers – the roles, expectations and stories we carry – and reconnect with the quiet, steady presence beneath it all.

Location

Located in the heart of two World Heritage-listed wonders – the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest, the world’s oldest rainforest – this retreat is an invitation to come home to yourself.

Together we will travel two hours north of Cairns, to a purpose-built, eco-friendly yoga sanctuary is nestled deep within the rainforest of Cape Tribulation. We aren’t simply near nature, we are immersed in it.

Here, the rhythm of the rainforest becomes part of your practice, inviting you to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with the natural world, and yourself.

Your Teacher

My name is Christina, I have been teaching yoga for 18 years, have 2 children and lead a full life. I know how challenging it can be to carve out the space and time to connect within. My intention is to create a sacred haven where you can reset, refresh, reconnect and nourish your body mind and soul.

This retreat is not about chasing highs, indulgence, or escaping life. It is about something quieter, and far more profound:

  • Digital detox and 48 hours of silence as the ground for real transformation.

  • Teachings from timeless traditions, shared simply and without dogma.

  • Deep rest for the body and nervous system.

  • Self-inquiry and meditation that lead you to the heart.

  • A return to presence, love, and clarity that endures.

The Food

Yogis and owners of the retreat centre Mara and Janardhan, will prepare us wholesome, vegetarian food focusing on health, vitality, and nourishment. There will be one lunch at a beach cafe, another at a local restaurant, we will visit Daintree Ice-creamery & an exotic fruit tasting experience.

“It's so important for us to give back to ourselves.
